Update

We have a lot on the go!

Math Homework - Q. 3, 4, 5 (p. 283 and 284)

Art Homework (city line perspective) is due on Monday.

History Portfolios - Some students have been working on these and most have not. On Friday, we will do a check-in to see where things are at. Don't panic.

Attawapiskat Issues and "Shannen and the Dream for a School" - this is in integrated unit with History and Reading / Writing and Media Studies. Please keep your eyes and ears on the news for updates. This issue has gone from a tiny column with barely a mention on the back page of the Toronto Star to the front page and a large single page spread in today's Toronto's Star. Thanks to Quentin's mom and various staff who have been forwarding me their copies of newspaper clippings. We now have 16 copies of "Shannen" in our classroom (thanks Mr. Knierim) - change happens when we all come together. Never underestimate the power of a single voice.

A fun science experiment is in the works. Stay tuned.

Integers is still being taught and assessment is ongoing.

Field trips
Birchmount Food Bank for the Holiday sort.
Earl Haig to see the Claude Watson students in a rock musical theatre production, "The Oath". Permission forms went home today. This is happening on Tuesday, so please get your permission in asap. We will be home late, around 4:30 or so, on Tuesday December 6th.

Our gift basket is "Baking" - see yesterday's post.

See you all tomorrow.

Ms V.
