Update

Thanks to all of you for a great afternoon at Birchmount Community Centre. We made up a TON of boxes for food hampers. I know many of you were looking forward to sorting food but this behind the scenes stuff is so very much needed. "Fast and able-handed kids" can make up these boxes so much faster than some of their other volunteers. Never underestimate the amount of good you did this afternoon. Almost 400 families will be using Birchmount Community Centre's "Share Christmas" this year. 400 families from a local community food bank. Many of these families are surviving on less than $100 per month. Many are operating at a deficit. This is something to think about. Something else to think about - they are running out of food donations - thanks to those who have brought in. For those of you who have not - there are families out there who are looking to us for support. Thank you.

Also, I'm glad you had so much fun on the subway. I'm exhausted.

Homework this evening: Q. 10, 11 & 13, p. 284 and 285 - Math textbook.

We have a busy week planned:
1. Science flow chart must be finished this week - we'll be working on this in class tomorrow afternoon.
2. Art - all outstanding pieces are due by Friday.
3. Finishing up Data Mgmt in Math this week.
4. Shannen's story to be finished this week.
5. History portfolio checkin - most of you are wrapping up those final questions. There are handouts for the last couple of questions which we will be doing in class.

See you all tomorrow. Thanks for a fun day!
