Homework for the weekend.
1. Math Practice Test - Chapter 1 test on Monday. Please do not attempt to do this entire test at one sitting. Do a few questions at a time. Work hardest on the last 4 or 5 questions as these are the harder application and extend questions. Remember that the word problems will multi-step questions. Take your time and think about what it is you are required to do. Draw a picture. Think of your strategies.
2. Good copy of your letters for the Great Canadian Mail Race. Your rough copies look good. I'd like to mail these on Monday.
3. Good copy of My Special Place (actually, I will make this due on Tuesday, as you have your Math test on Monday. Spread the word as students have this down in their agendas as due on Monday.
Over the weekend
1. Choose a novel for your novel study that we will begin next week. If some of you have the same novel that you would like to read together, that would be wonderful - we can do a literature circle with multiple copies of the same book. We will get a visit into our school library this week.
